Welcome Visitors!

For Our Visitors:

We would like to welcome you to Cornerstone United Methodist Church! If you are visiting for the first time it is our hope that you experience the warm embrace of Christian hospitality. All of our visitors are invited to come to the narthex following the service to receive a gift from the church. We hope that you enjoy your time of worship with us and hope to see you again soon.

About Worship at Cornerstone:

Worship is the central activity of the church. Our worship together blends together both ancient liturgical traditions with the spontaneity of the Holy Spirit. At Cornerstone we want to celebrate the wonderful diversity of God's people and gifts. "Come as you are!" This slogan invites everyone to our fellowship and calls us to break down the walls and barriers that divide us.

The Table:
All our invited to partake of the Eucharist Meal (Holy Communion). We take by of intinction, in which, the bread is handed to the recipient and the dipped in the cup combining the two elements. We cup our hands when we receive the Eucharist, for the grace of God is given not taken.

Prayer Teams:
During the Eucharist you are invited to come forward for personal prayer or intercession. The prayer teams gather on each side of the sanctuary.

Offering Box:
We do not pass offering plates at Cornerstone. The offering boxes are located at the entry ways and the front of the sanctuary. We share together!

Welcoming Our Children In Worship:
Children are always welcome in worship. Nursery care is available children... infant to 3 years old. Children's celebration is for children... 5 years old to 3rd grade.

“Becoming”…

In the midst of our world of hectic schedules and fast-paced lifestyles we find ourselves caught in a society which lacks identity and longs for meaning. Many of us find ourselves trapped in its cold grasp. So then, what does it mean in our world to “become” something?

At Cornerstone United Methodist Church we embrace the vision of “Becoming God’s Church.” As the pastor of Cornerstone I would like to invite you to join us on our great adventure of faith. At Cornerstone you will find a gathered family striving to “Become the Body of Christ – The Cornerstone,” to serve the community and world. As a family, our relationship with God directly impacts the way we look at each other – All are important... All are welcome... and All are united together.

Because Christ is the center of all that we do, our worship is the central activity of the community. In worship, Cornerstone calls forth a fresh vision which is exciting for all participating. Cornerstone strives to break through human traditions which stifle and often paralyze the opportunity for faithful worship.

So come on in and explore! Come as you are to Cornerstone, and begin building upon a solid foundation – “Becoming God’s Church!”

Love in Christ,
Rev. Roy
